High Water Pop-up at Black Iris
Richmond Comedy Coalition Interior
The Odd Couple provided all the fixtures and reclaimed materials for the new Richmond Comedy Coalition’s theater. From the ticket counter to the bent wood chandeliers, all the materials came straight from the warehouse. We enlisted the help of Brian Lopez to fabricate the custom ticket counter and bar. Using old sash windows, panel doors and coffee table legs, Brian built a beautiful one of a kind piece. Andrew’s chandelier design used an iconic improv prop, the bentwood, and flipped it upside down to create the theater house lighting. With a mural by Mickael Broth, stage built by Tom Hohman, and traditional hand painted windows by Sure Hand Signs, the theater is a awesome setting to watch fantastic improv comedy.
